Busy studying the Menu

Walaune!! After studying the restaurant menu for the whole day, I start to feel kinda dizzy now. Those French and Italian dishes can really drive me nuts. I have to study their ingredients, have to imagine their taste etc etc.
But I say to myself, in order to work in this restaurant, I gotta build up my knowledge towards their menu so that I will not be left out.
Tomorrow I will be attending another meeting by the manager of the restaurant. Gotta sleep early..bye!

Thinking... Thinking...

Constructing a long list for my family now. The list contains items which I want them to sent to me over by sea parcel. Thinking hard now in order not to miss out any stuff... thinking...thinking...thinking...till I almost fall asleep just now.

ME!! I am back again!!

I am so happy today!! I finally had my IGS sent out. Yoohoo! Now, I will just have to wait for them to approve my visa.
It is now mid autumn. The leaves of the tree starts to turn from green to yellow. Soon, I will see them falling all over the place.

This year will be the coldest year in Manchester. Well, I can feel that. I am wearing jacket and scarf wherever I go. Last year, I didn't even wear these kind of clothing.

Now, let me blog something which I saw yesterday. When I was roaming around Arndale shopping centre yesterday, I saw crowds standing at the center of the mall. Curiosity stroked me, so I went to take a look.

I saw a young teenager around the age of 20 performing trill moves by using his bicycle.

This was the best shot I took while I was looking down from the second floor. Can you see that bike? can you see that guy? can you see where his bike stood?

You gotta find him harder in this photo, he was like... ...on top of the van?? see it??

Oh, if you folks happen to wonder how the moon looked like over here during mooncake festival, here was how it looked like. This picture was taken on the second day after the mooncake festival.

It was round and big, but I don't know why...I got a feeling that the moon here is not the same as the moon in Malaysia... even though it is the same. Argh... I don't know... just a weird feeling...

Gah tee introduced me to this cow biscuit yesterday. I bought 1 for myself too cause I think that it's kinda cute and tasted nice too.

Did I ever mention that I didn't go to a saloon to have my haircut for more than a year? My hair seriously needs a trim, a cut or some treatment now. It's like a bunch of dead weeds on top of my head. I'm so SICK of it!!It's totally out of shape or should I say out of FASHION??

While I was at the bank just now, I spotted a girl who owns a haircut which I like so much!! Snapped this picture while she was talking on the phone. **my bad** Her hair had several layers cut on the top part and a very thin layer cut on the bottom. I like this hairstyle so so so much!!

We went for a nice buffet at Tai Wu Chinese restaurant just after we submitted in our IGS form. We were so in the mood to celebrate as Gah tee and Wern both got a job recently. I ate this... ...
So lucky today, they cooked mussels, I ate lots of it. Beside the mussels was Pork ribs braised in brown sauce and some taofu. I ate 2 plate of this, it was really so nice.

For the dessert I ate honeydew, peach, orange, cocktail fruit, some cakes and the most sinful among all, the ice creamssss. Too busy eating till I didn't snap any other photo. The buffet ended at 5.15pm, we went in at 3.40pm, so we gotta eat what we want within that time. It was kinda short actually. HAHAHA

I am still full till now. I guess I will be spending the whole day in my room tommorow as my bus pass had already expired. People out there, chat with cindy tomorrow, she will be available the whole day!!

I am too tired to blog today

IGS really drained up all my energy... Maybe after I had my IGS sent out tomorrow,I will be a bit more carefree.Just wanna get a nice sleep now, perhaps I will blog more tomorrow, promise,ok?tata

I'm eligible to work in UK

Today I post a short blog. My visa for UK is going to expire, so for now, I gonna prepare every single important document which is needed to apply my visa.

Now, I am typing my cover letter for my visa. Nothing special happened today. Weather is now colder and colder. The heater in my room starts to turn on from today. Gotta get back typing my cover letter now, bye.

I celebrated Mooncake festival overseas

This is the second year I celebrated Mooncake Festival over here at Manchester. Honestly speaking, there's no "mooncake celebration" mood here. I can't even see the moon tonight. Blame the cloudy and rainy weather. I can't even see stars on the dark and cold sky out there.
I'm not going to just stay put at home doing nothing as today is the mooncake festival. I found myself another plan with gah tee and Wern. Here is how it goes.
I dress up nicely today as I am planning to go out and have a BLAST!!
Shall we go now?
We spent the whole day at Arndale shopping Centre. I'm planning to do abit of window shopping today, so, I go into NEXT. I spent sometime trying on their cool boots. I can't control it, but I really like boots very very much!!
I tried most of them and I found that I like this green boot the most!! Does it look nice on me? This boot is made from velvet type of material and with its high heel. I look SO classy in it.

I'm in love with this boot but as I wear it for a longer time, I felt that I couldn't stand long with high heel, it was way too high for me. I bet I can't run in that boot. I will buy it IF I am in Malaysia cause I don't need to do lots of walking BUT the poor me is now at Manchester. Although I take bus but I still need to walk most of the time.

After that, I went to visit their furniture outlet. I like this oriental look sofa.As usual, cam whoring la. Reflection of me in a big mirror.

As for dinner, 3 of us had KFC to celebrate the so called Mooncake Festival. We haven't eat KFC for 2 months. We ordered the Variety bucket. 8 pieces of chicken, 4 fries and two side dishes. I ordered Gravy and bake beans as our side dish but then it surprised me when the gravy I ordered was just the gravy SAUCE!!! I thought it will be gravy with mash potato like the one I had back in Malaysia. **shit la**

I took it back to the counter and ask them if they can change it for me. I mean, what's with the gravy sauce as a side dish la? Ask us to eat the sauce meh? yet the sauce was kinda oily and dark looking.

Luckily, they're willing to change it for me. This time I ordered Coleslaw instead. That sound more healthy isn't it?

Oh ya, not forget to mention that the KFC bucket meal which they sold here doesn't include any drinks. We need to pay EXTRA 1 pound for the drink. We dint order any drink at last. The thirst nearly killed me. I can't bear it anymore so I went to buy myself an Orange Juice after the meal.

Till now, I still can't see moon and stars up the cloudy and dark sky. How was the moon back at Malaysia? Was it round and beautiful? Is the rabbit still with the moon?

Everyone's busy but me

Its a boring Monday today to start up my whole new week. Seems like everyone beside me were pretty busy these days.

Joanne is now back to school as her 2nd semester starts from today while Wern and Gah tee both are still hunting for jobs. Today they go off hunting again. My housemate is also back to school today.

Before Wern left the house today, I mess up with her by snapping some of her photos. She, tying her hairI watched her and wished her good luck as she left the house.

Left me, the lonely me, inside an empty houseWas wondering what to do, then I thought of sending some Mooncake festival greetings to some of my friends through Friendster. I clicked and clicked, sent them out one by one. Its one of my method to keep in touch with them.

I figured out thatso I sent them greetings when I am free. As I browsed through my friends, I happened to see this photo.

WOW!!what a cute photo I found!! Picture of my brother when he is still studying at TTSS. This is his private club, name Green Tea Club. Assume that there are only two rows in this picture, he is the one squatting in the 2nd row, 2nd from the left, the one who's biting a metal.

Where is my date-mate when I need one? I wanna go have some gathering, I wanna snap some new photo, I wanna go outing, I wanna go out and have some fun...but, sorry to say...some of my friend are really so not sporting and thus my plans always fail.

Tomorrow is Mooncake Festival. This year, I guess I will pass a lonely Mooncake festival as well cause my plan had just failed.

This makes me miss my only sis even more. Remember that we used to hang out together and does everything together, we shop, we eat, we play... ...Although she likes sleeping but she never turn me down whenever I date her out, she's such a sporting girl, she also hate one who is not sporting.
I think that's all for today.

I had a laid back and relaxing day

Today is a relaxing Sunday for me. It is raining outside, so I prefer staying at home watching the latest episodes of Naruto, Bleach and Claymore.
Among 3 of the anime, I like Bleach the most!! I like its storyline and also every single move which is shown by the character. No idea? Let me show you the picture of Bleach, see, see, isn't that just so cool? How I wish I could get one of its BIG poster and hang it in my room.
I just love every single character so much in the Bleach, especially Kuchiki Byakuya. Go watch it when you're free, trust me, you won't regret it! As I was browsing through the internet just now, I noticed that Bleach is now showing on local TV, TV3 ,Sunday, 11pm.

As for Naruto and Claymore, I would say that its my 2nd and 3rd favourite anime after Bleach. I'm still catching up after their new episode every week.

After watching anime, I indulged myself in relaxing music. I don't know whether it is effective for everyone, but for me, it makes me feel peace at once.

Did anyone knew that I was once a choir member? Do I look or sound like one? Well, it was a long time ago, I am still studying in primary school when I joined choir. I just love singing very muchie!! Red Box Karaoke was once my favourite hangout place for me and my buddy.

I even celebrated my 20th Birthday at Red box Karaoke. That was the mango cake which duckduck bought for me secretly, I was so happy back then!!

Especially the song, Memory. It somehow brought back those sense of pride which I had when I joined the choir group. We sang this song for those datuk and datin at Yayasan Sabah during a special celebration (can't remember what kind of celebration) and my parents were there to see my performance.

Now, I dedicate you this song, Memory.**click play, feel the music, I hope you will like it**

Next week will be a busy week for me. I gotta have my IGS (visa) posted, gotta go for my restaurant training, gotta celebrate for the Moon cake festival, gotta... ...

I tried Kebab

In Manchester, there are lots of kebabish outlets. I had never tried a kebab before even though it had been a year since I first came to Manchester. Unintentionally, I had tried it just now. Kebab is a type of Middle East cuisine where grilled meat (all kinds of meat except pork) are serve on a skewer, with pita bread or salad. This is how Kebab looks like. Wern told me that Malaysia do sell kebab too, it's weird I had never tried one before. I guess Malaysia do have plenty of food to choose from but I missed out Kebab, imagine!!
My stomach started to growl after shopping with Wern just now. I was planning to buy a "roast to go" chicken at Asda to bring back home at first but as we were waiting for the bus to arrive, I spotted a kebabish take away outlet just beside the bus station.
The hungriness and curiosity in me urged me to have a look at that shop. As I looked through the menu, I cancelled my initial plan to Asda and ordered myself a Döner kebab. The first kebab which I had, Döner kebab served with pita bread and salad.Pita bread at the bottom while salads on top. The mouth watering Kebab was just wrapped in between them. These are the Kebab!! Looks nice? Indeed! It costs me 4 pounds for this meal but I didn't regret it as I think its worth a try and its really delicious!!
The bus which we took were quite pack just now. Actually there were some empty seat behind me but some people simplypreferred to stand. We had to squeeze through those crowd of people in order for us to get off the bus by the time it reached the station. **frustrated** SEAT PEOPLE! SEAT! YOU GUYS ARE BLOCKING THE WAY!! **didn't they realise that?!?!**

I rocked the kitchen

It has been a long time since I last cook for my friends. The last time I cooked was when I am still staying in Daisy Bank Hall. 6 of us, Mindy, Jack, Wern, Gah tee, Joanne and I took our turns to cook everyday when we were still studying. It was fun back then.

Sometimes, we were invited to dine with Poh Kiang, Lisa and Dan

I had always wanting to cook bah kut teh but can't seem to pick a suitable day for it. Since today Joanne, wern and gah tee is free, so I rock the kitchen today by cooking them nice dinner.

Does it look nice to you?

I thought we will take 2 days to finish up this pot of bah kut teh but 4 of us manage to finish it just now. **too hungry or too delicious?**

Mooncake festival is just around the corner. Again, this is the second year I skip the mooncake celebration with my family. I totally miss the time we ate mooncake and drank tea together, looking at the big and rounded moon up the sky. I was holding my yellow tang lung back then.

I just received a sms message from my dad minutes ago wishing me Happy mooncake festival. Its so heart warming. I miss them badly now.

Happy Birthday DaD!

Today I am suppose to go to the Trafford Centre with Mindy and Jack to check out the condition of the restaurant which I will be working in the future.
After second thought, I decided to stay with my laptop at home because today is my dad's birthday and I plan to sing him a birthday song.
20th September 2007. Today is a special day for me. Its my dad's birthday!! He had finally reach his 50's today. Happy 50's Birthday Dad.
I sang a birthday song for him through Skype. I watched him as he made his wish, blew the candles and cut the cake through the monitor. In spirit, I was there celebrating his birthday with him.

My sis took this photo while I was singing my dad a birthday song.

My sis and bro had bought this cake for him, Cocktail fruit cake. I commented that its round and cute.

This is the photo of my dad and his birthday cake...

He still looks young to me even though now he had reached his 50's. **young and cute??**

After the cake cutting ceremony, they continued snapping photos...

My little brother sang my dad a birthday song. That's his guitar... He is a rocker and so as my dad

This is the latest photo of him taken while he is performing on stage. **dad, what song did you sing for the married couple that night??**

I guess no one knew that my dream once was to perform on stage with my dad, but my lousy vocal had killed my dream.** how pathetic**

As I browsed through my family's photo, I found that my little sis love cam whoring so much these days.
Last time, her photo was like

Don't know how to pose well, standing there like a statue...

Know how to smile but don't know how to act cool

When I take her photo, she will give me that kinda pose...

Don't even know how to hold a camera, I mean the angle....

As time passes, I don't know what had influenced her to be a certified cam whore...

She knows how to take nice photo with her friend now

Not just a particular smile, but different kind of smile

This is her latest photo, I think she is totally a cam whore freak!!Somehow, I think I might lose to her. **really**
