A night to remember

Tonight is a blast!! I bought a 5 pound ticket from Joanne yesterday, it was a dinner and dance ticket organised by her church. My shift ended 4pm just now and I headed to meet Joanne as soon as I left Trafford Centre.

This was the settings of the tables in the church. According to Joanne,it's kinda formal compare to last year as last year was a buffet setting where everyone can just get their food in the center of the table.
It's been a long time since I last attended this kinda party. On each of the table, put the starters, for people to munch on before the dinner was served. The starters was samosa, spring rolls and prawn crackers.

There were 2 choices given for our dinner, either Nasi lemak with prawn sambal or chicken rice. I've chosen chicken rice as Nasi Lemak was said to be spicy. The dinner itself was great and surprisingly it was made by several aunties from the church.

After dinner, we were divided into groups and we done some small quiz and dinner dance. I was paired with an uncle during the dance while his wife and daughter were just beside me. He said to me that he doesn't know how to dance.

Soon, we danced as the music go on and it was fun!!I said to the uncle "just have some fun although we both can't dance that well." Few minutes later, we managed to memorised the steps of the dancing and it went pretty well.

After the pair dancing was the group dancing. Auntie Swee Leng taught us a few steps of simple dancing and as the music went on, we danced in a group, this reminds me doing aerobic exercise when I was back in Malaysia. Even though I am not that well in dancing nicely but I just enjoy myself dancing in the group. This was to burn off some calories which I gained during the dinner while ago.

No photos loaded as no one snap for me while I am busy dancing myself.

At the end of the night, I was awarded the best female dancer among the group of people and this is the prezzie which I got.
Not forget to thank Joanne for bringing me to such a wonderful and memorable party.

Cindy.. A great nite to remember indeed! Having lots of fun and at the end, being awarded d best female dancer. Whoa!

Do go out and joined in to have more of this type of parties. It doesnt matter whether we are a christian or not. Whats most important is to be happy.

We did attend a family day bbq party organisied by d tyre association abt a month ago. After d food, there was some games organised by your father. Even though i didnt participate in d games, but just watching them was really fun enough.

For eg, watching foo ah kow, (remember who he is? miss wong's husband) rolling a few rounds when he fall down with his hat even flying off in d gunny sack game really really made me laughed. Ah koon's wife cant even make herself move even though she tried sooo hard..seeing the others getting closer n closer to d finishing line where as she was still almost at d starting point made her almost looked stupid..she gave up at d end. Im thinking, at least clever of her! Lots more of funny scenes, of course. But its only games. After all, they should be someone of this type to make d scene more funny n humories, thus enjoyable.

The three of us left earlier wo attending their dinner. Father teamed up with weewee in that game where they had to keep a small ball in between their heads while running as fast as they could to d finishing line. They got d second price. But we didnt stayed to witness d prize giving as it was done during dinner. Father had it collected.

But i still think you are more clever. Being so far from home, and in such a country, yet wherever you are, you managed to fight for something for yourself. You are really great and im really so happy for you!

Bye and love always! Mommoi
